How to Use Your Ganesh Resin Burner

  1. Place the burner on a stable, heat-resistant, non-flammable surface, away from drafts and flammable materials.
  2. Add a small layer of non-combustible material, such as sand, ash, or heat-safe pebbles, to help protect the burner from direct heat.
  3. With heat-safe tongs, light an incense charcoal tablet according to the charcoal manufacturer’s directions.
  4. Allow the charcoal to heat fully and begin to ash around the edges before placing it carefully inside the burner.
  5. Add a very small amount of loose resin or dried herbal incense onto the heated charcoal.
  6. Allow the aroma to gently fill your space. Add more material only as needed.
  7. Never touch or move the burner while it is hot. Allow the charcoal, ash, and burner to cool completely before cleaning or storing.

Resin incense typically needs sustained heat, such as an incense charcoal tablet or an electric burner. Never handle burning charcoal with bare hands, and do not place it directly on a combustible surface.

Fire and Smoke Safety

Please use this burner with mindful care. Burning charcoal, resins, and herbs can create high heat, smoke, and open flame.

  • Never leave burning charcoal, herbs, or resins unattended.
  • Always place the burner on a stable, heat-resistant, non-flammable surface.
  • Keep well away from children, pets, fabrics, paper, curtains, and other flammable materials.
  • Use heat-safe tongs for charcoal and avoid touching the bowl, ash, or screen during or immediately after use.
  • Burn only in a well-ventilated area, with a window or door open when possible.
  • Use incense charcoal only; do not use barbecue charcoal indoors.
  • Keep the burner away from crystals, glass, or other objects that may be sensitive to heat.
  • Allow everything to cool completely before disposal, cleaning, or storage.

Ventilation and close supervision are especially important because incense charcoal can become extremely hot during use.
